Erica Yamada has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop and modern for over 20 years. She grew up as a competitive dancer and has also danced professionally since the age of 9 for the Walt Disney Company, SONY, Rite Aide, and on Carnival Cruise lines. In 2006 she earned her Bachleor of Arts degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Dance Performance and Composition from the U.C. Riverside where she earned the Chancellor's Performance Scholarship (twice) and the Gluck Fellowship. She has primarily been competative instructor/choreographer to many successful students who have consistently won many high score awards, scholarships and titles regionally and nationally. She continues to train in Los Angeles (when she is not teaching that is!) and is extremly happy and proud to be on staff at CDA. |
